The Challenge
ProFinish Painters' estimators were writing quotes by hand on-site, then re-entering everything into a desktop system back at the office. Quotes routinely took two to three days to reach customers — long enough for competitors to swoop in. Owner David Chen needed a way for crews to quote jobs on the spot, without sacrificing accuracy.
The Solution
We built a native mobile app for estimators that combined a guided quote builder, a photo-based room/surface calculator, and instant PDF generation. Customers could review and digitally sign the quote on the estimator's phone or tablet before the crew even left the driveway. Behind the scenes, every quote synced automatically to a central dashboard the office team could track in real time.
The app was built cross-platform with React Native, so ProFinish could equip every estimator — regardless of device — without doubling the development cost.
The Results
Within the first quarter of rollout, ProFinish saw quote turnaround drop from days to minutes, and their close rate on same-day quotes rose sharply as customers no longer had time to shop around.
